Charity – True Or Fake

Among various living species on earth, man is the most advanced one, with a highly developed brain to think and act wisely. With the gradual development of human civilizations, the act of humanness also gained importance, linked to the culture and common attitude of people. The idea of charity must have started long back and the approach actually refers to helping the needy. Today, a large number of charitable organizations are working world wide, collecting money, clothes, food and any items donated by the public, and giving it to needy population, or using money to help the poor, orphans and disabled ones, who need someone to support them in life.
The fund received or given in the name of charity is something that cannot be predicted and cannot be limited. And such cash flows are usually exempted from tax. In genuine cases, this is very much convenient as the total amount received can be fully utilized for charity purpose. But as always, when there is a good face for something, there automatically arise the bad face. Some antisocial elements have used this opportunity to earn illegal money.
Charitable organizations are registered for name sake, and shown to public that they protect helpless women and children. What actually happens is they use all the money received for their selfish objectives and leave the poor dependants to suffer. There are many cases where women are beaten up, forcing them for illegal or antisocial practices or abusing children. Human trafficking is now very common in the name of charity homes. Many such organizations are actually scam, taking money illegally from public.
Instead of giving shelter to the poor, these selfish antisocial elements take advantage of them. Even though the laws are now becoming strict and government is monitoring all such activities, still there are some powerful set of culprits on move.
